We have great pleasure to introduce ourselves as a non-profit organization on a mission to bring basic education to every child across rural India. EkalAbhiyan is eliminating illiteracy, providing elementary education in rural and tribal villages in all over India following Great Scholar Shree Vivekananda ji “If a child cannot go to Vidyalaya, Vidyalaya must reach him”.
EkalAbhiyan started in 1989 with a handful of Vidyalayas having crossed a mark of 1, 00,000 Vidyalayas in November 2019. Now the number has grown to 1, 02,753 (September, 2020).
Our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi sent a letter of appreciation on this achievement.
Ekal model for Social Change is striving to achieve the following components with respective organizations in matrix.
Ekal started working on the Basic primary education in remote villages to enable them to understand the importance of Education in life and have access to further higher education.
Students who cannot move further for some reasons, Basic Education of Reading, Writing, Arithmetic and Awareness on Hygiene, Cleanliness, Fundamental Rights of an Indian citizen, local sports, facilities they are entitled in rural areas, subsidies available from government schemes, RTI, moral values etc. would equip them suitably to lead a better life.
